Ghouls at Grassmere

Two weekends ago, we went to Ghouls at Grassmere, the annual halloween party at the Nashville zoo. This year was our first year to go, and we will definitely be going every year from now on! It was so much fun! The whole zoo was decorated and there was a ton of stuff to do: games, animal shows, haunted hay ride, dance tent, monster lab, trick-or-treating, and more!

We all wore costumes, but some differ from our actual Halloween costume for this year. We didn't have Brooklyn's costume yet, so she wore something from her dress-up box. And Brian and I wore costumes from previous years because the ones we're wearing this year aren't kid-friendly enough to wear to the zoo ;)

Even though it was very cold that night, we had a great time drinking hot chocolate and boogie-ing in the dance tent to keep warm!

Vacation (day 4)

This is our last installment of pictures from our summer vacation (finally!). On this day, we went to the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, before heading back home. It was a really cool place, packed with all sorts of aircraft and military displays. The kids got to climb into a lot of the airplanes, which they loved (especially Braden). You need at least half a day to go through it because the place is absolutely huge and there's so much to look at. And it's completely free! It's on the actual Navy base, so there were quite a few military folks hanging out and grabbing lunch at the cafe. I recommend going if you're ever in the area!

Happy Birthday Bailee!!

My baby girl turns 2 today! And wow, does time fly! Seems like yesterday I was looking through all of Brooklyn's baby clothes that I had saved & getting excited about having another girl! (Little did I know what I was getting into! Ha Ha!)

Everyone that knows Bailee knows that she is very feisty! She gets into everything (even more than Braden did) and definitely keeps me on my toes. She knows what she wants & lets it known. When she was a baby, she never cried, but went straight to screaming. Yet, she is also very loving. She HAS to hold your finger to fall asleep, will snuggle in your lap for hours, and loves butterfly kisses. And, she has a smile that will light up a room!

We had a small celebration at Nanny's yesterday, with leftover wedding cake- way better than any cake I could have made ;-) Bailee didn't waste any time, and smashed her face right into the cake for a big bite!

Two years down; an amazing lifetime ahead of you.

WE LOVE YOU BAILEE FAYE!!
